DEAR Papa Joe,

Ako diay si Mr. Stupid. Ang akong suliran kabahin sa akong uyab nga wala ko makasabot kon nahigugma ba ni siya nako kay mura raman ko niya og gi take for granted. Sweet kaayo siya kon kami rang duha or sa selected niya nga friends. Pero kon sa uban, labi na sa iyang ka workmates, ikauwaw ko niya labi na naay party unya naay kantahay. Iya kong kasab-an kon mokanta ko kay pakauwaw daw ko sa iyang mga kauban kay yabag daw ko paminawon. Unya ingnon pa ko nga ayaw sige ug estorya sa akong mga kauban kay “manimaho ra ba na imong baba” bisan nanotbras ko.

English Translation

Dear Papa Joe

By the way, I'm Mr. Stupid.  My problem is about my girlfriend who I don't understand if she is in love with me because it seems that she is only taking me for granted.  She's very sweet if there's only the two of us or with her selected friends.  But if with others, especially with her workmates, she is ashamed of me specially if there's a party and some singing.  She would scold me if I sing because I would be  an embarrassment to her companions because i am out of tune to listen to.  Then she would tell me don't talk often with my companions because 'your mouth would smell', even if I brushed my teeth.

Makaingon ko nga mag buwag na lang mi pero di man sad siya mobuwag. Usahay maka ingon ko nga gigamit ra ko ani niya kay ako may nagtabang sa iyang pagpuyo diri kay gamay ra man iyang sweldo. Unsa may buhaton nako? Buwagan na lang ba nako ni siya? Palihug tambagi ko.

I would say that we would just break up but she wouldn't leave.   Sometimes I could say that I'm just being used by her because I'm the one helping her in living here because her salary is little.  What should I do?  Should I just break up with her?   Please advise me.

MR. STUPID

(The Advice)

Mr. Stupid,

Ikaw ra gyud ang makatubag anang imong problema. Usahay maora na og drugs, maora og bisyo nga makauyon ka sa imong feelings kon maka- take ka. Pero nasayod ka nga makadaut ni nimo. Mao na timbang-timbanga kon angay ba ka mag antos nga basin sa unahan sa inyong pagpuyo kon magkadayon mo magmahay na hinuon ka or basin di gyud mo magkadayon.

You're the only one who can solve that problem of yours.   Sometimes, it's like drugs, like a vice that if you can take it, then you agree with your feelings.   However, you know that this is destructive to you.  That's why you should weigh things out if you should suffer in the end of your relationship, if you end up together, you would regret instead or maybe you will never end up together. 

Pero nausik na ang imong panahon ug kwarta. Mao na hunahunaa, ayaw sunda ang imong ngalan nga stupid. Pagmata kon tan-aw nimo wa gyuy padulngan. Kana lang ug salamat.

However, your time and money were wasted.  That's why think about it, don't follow your name 'stupid.'  Wake up if you think there is no direction anymore.  That's all and thank you.
